My Last Seattle Executives Association Meeting

Today was my last day at the Seattle Executives Association (SEA) meeting. I joined SEA back in 2003, and over the past 21 years, I've had the privilege of serving as a board member, treasurer, and president. It has been an incredible journey, and today I pass the torch to Ryan Heinrichs to continue our membership at the Seattle Executives Association.

During my time with SEA, I've made many friends, which isn't always easy when you're the boss of your own company. The association has provided a unique platform for building genuine relationships, both professionally and personally. It's a community where business leaders can connect, share experiences, and support each other.

I highly recommend joining an association like SEA if you own your own business. The opportunities for networking, learning, and growth are invaluable. As a result, price and brand power become the only selling points. Therefore, for products and services sold by small businesses without strong brand power, it's essential to highlight and promote one outstanding feature rather than trying to cover all functionalities broadly.

Until now, my company has believed that having all the features was important, but unfortunately, this has led to a loss of product distinction. Although I am confident in the quality of our offerings, they lack unique characteristics.

From now on, I think it’s important to focus on understanding customer needs and develop products with exceptional features that meet those needs, maximizing the appeal of those features. For example, if a software product has an incredibly user-friendly interface, we can attract users' attention by emphasizing its ease of use compared to competitor products. Conversely, trying to include every feature might compromise usability or increase the product cost.

By focusing on specific features, we can deliver a powerful message to the user base that seeks those features. Highlighting particularly strong features or unique technologies in PSPINC's services will enhance our competitiveness.

Breakfast and a Nine-Hole Round of Golf Today

I was at the golf club this morning and had a wonderful breakfast with my friend. After breakfast, I practiced at the new facility at my golf club. Following the practice, they allowed me to start at the 10th hole, and I was able to finish at the 18th. It took less than two hours to play nine holes, which was wonderful. I still need to work on many aspects of the game, but my approach and putting are getting better.

今朝、ゴルフクラブに行って友人と素晴らしい朝食を楽しみました。朝食の後、ゴルフクラブの新しい施設で練習をしました。練習の後、10番ホールからスタートすることを許可してもらい、18番ホールまでプレーしました。9ホールを2時間以内で回ることができて、とても良かったです。まだゴルフの多くの面で改善が必要ですが、アプローチとパッティングが少しずつ良くなっています。
