I went to Costco Amagasaki in Japan today. They are one of the success business stories by the US companies in Japan. Although the business concept is the same between the US and Japan, Costco did amazing amount of localization to fit Japanese market.
The total opposite is the US Auto Manufacturers in Japan. They are still selling left hand steering cars in Japan where people drove on the left side like UK.
You can buy variety of pre made lunch box at Japanese super market. Prices are great and they look great.
I filled up this morning at Chevron Gas Station near the office for $3.959. Finally it is under $4.00.
I did some research, in November 2008, the gas price was $1.719. That means when Obama too the office, the price was less than half of what we pay now.

I bought an Obama T-Shirt to find out if it was made in USA and it was. Now I checked Mitt Romney items ... they are also made in the USA. Where do you get those things made in the USA?
It says they were America made on the site. I think he should not have mention it. I would have bought it to find out if they are made in the USA.
I registered to next year's CES in Las Vegas. I have not been to Vegas for few years now. I wonder if I can go there next January.
Before you fix any problem or change a product, you need to understand the nature of problem and requirement for a change. Any fix and change for the sake of change is unnecessary and wasteful.
DOW Industrial Average is almost back to pre depression level, but do you feel like we are out of woods? Are we better off than 2007/2008 when the depression started?
I feel like thing we buy are more expensive and things that we own are less valuable.
Do you see a problem with this horizontal beam above the window?
This beam is holding all the weight from the top but it is not supported by anything. This is a house being built neat my house and will sell for 7 or 800K dollars. This is not a very good job. There are many windows throughout the house. This will be covered up drywall and people will never see it again until there is an earthquake.
