Higher tariffs make imported goods more expensive, reducing demand and forcing sellers to lower prices to remain competitive. Additionally, if sellers rely on imported materials, tariffs raise production costs. In global trade, tariffs can lead to supply chain disruptions, making exports less attractive and impacting overall profitability.

To stay competitive, sellers must either lower their prices or risk losing sales.
