A New Sony Action Camera got smaller but still missing the target.
I am sure it is a good good camera but it still missing a very important feature. Think about it, this type of camera will bet beaten up, wet, dropped, go thru mud an so on. This camera does not look well protected. It should have a full casing like GoPro.
What SONY is doing is trying to become GoPro by doing the same type of marketing as GoPro. That will not work. Here are somethings SONY should think about.
- Object Tracking
- 4 K based image stabilization
- Wireless live broadcasting
- Camera locator
- Full stereo sound recording
- Full disposable casing (inexpensive)
What do you think?
I am checking out from the hotel in about two hours and taking a bus to the Narita Airport. It is quite wet today due to the incoming tycoon. I think I am going to able to avoid the heavy wind and rain.
Thank you for all the people I met. I learned a lot and I have a lot of homework. We will keep in touch. I will be back in end of October.
I bought this small cup of drip coffee at Starbucks for 100 yen. I bought this at seven eleven. That is less than a $1.
It is a very good cup of coffee and is very popular in Japan.

I wonder how much they would cost in Seattle?
I think they would cost at least twice as much and on top of that you have to ay sales tax and tip. With the weaker yen, they seem even more reasonable.
There are three cellular carriers in Japan and they are docomo, au and softbank. It appears iPhone 6 Plus are almost all sold out and only docomo (NTT Group) has any stock of iPhone 6 Plus and most of iPhone 6.
I walked from Giza to Ueno today.
I took a subway from Akasaka-Mistuke, near my hotel, to Ginza where Apple Store is.
I was there around 9:00 and store was closed. I don't think they are expecting huge cloud today. Then, I started to walk North and just kept on going.
I did some gift shipping in Ueno and I just got back to the hotel. It is almost 2:00pm. This day trip took about 5 hours.
Dinner at Fuji Soba ... This complete set is priced for 650 yen (about $6.00) including tax and of cause no tipping. A small cup of very good drip coffee at convenience store is price at 100 Yen (about $0.92).
But not everything is cheap in Japan especially restaurants at hotel is insane. I saw a poster of Trader Vic's restaurant selling steak dinner for 16,000 yen (about $145).
You just need to know where to go and what to eat. Because of the weaker Yen, it is avery good time to come to Japan.
Japan has developed most comprehensive pubic transportation system in the world. You can actually travel pretty much everywhere without having a car.
The main train system was called Japan National Rail (JNR) and was wend by the government. In april 1, 1987, JNR was privatized and became Japan Rail (JR).
So, most of public transportation system, train, buses, airlines and taxies are not funded by the tax money. It is wonderful. I think the US should learn from that.
This is going to be my office and home for next 4 nights.
When there is an Internet connection, I can do 80% of my work.
I think I am lucky that way.
So I am okay for next few days.
The hotel I am staying used to charge money for an Internet access but they stop doing that few years ago.
Now both wired and wireless Internet are included in the price.
Compared to how much hotels cost in Seattle/Bellevue/Redmond/Kirkland areas, This hotel is bargain at less than $200 a night in the middle of Tokyo.

I am on a bullet train heading to Tokyo. Although I am moving over 15mph, it is extremely quiet and stable.
Other than the fact it costs cheaper to fly, I love this train.
