May 7th will be the first working day out of long holiday in Japan started on April 27th. This is called Golden Week holiday in Japan.
What is the significance of that to PSPINC in the US?
Well, for many people in Japan, this is the first day of work after 9 off days. That means on Monday we can expect as m,ugh as 10 times the email traffic as usual. This Monday puts more stress on our servers than any other days of the year.
Our server software is optimized enough so that it should have no problem, but just in case, we are standing by to act if there is something.
We have purchased several HD Web Cam and placed around the company buildings to record what is going on into our servers. This is completely home made system. Cameras are very good deterrent against crime. Since we placed the cameras and housings around the property, we have seen no problem, not even people smoking around the buildings.
I had to hold my camera for a long time to wait for the right moment. Most of they time the flag was just hanging down.
It is so sad t see those damages.
I am at PSPINC Seattle Data Center. What you are looking at is our Network Monitoring Center.

PSPINC is in the process of making the SPAM filtering more strict (to catch more SPAM). To do this, we are adjusting the threshold by 1% every week starting this week. We are asking our customers to report to us as soon as they start seeing false stamping of regular email as SPAM by our filtering system.
Thank you for using PSPINC as your email outsourcing company.
I thought all they make was cleaning robots ... I guess I was wrong. This is $400,000 iRobot for military.
PSPINC started Web and Email hosting back in 1986 using Windows NT. Yes, we hosted everything using Windows NT. We still host Windows Servers, but we have developed a monitoring and automated recovery tool called "NT Reboot". Without it, Windows Servers are just not stable enough.
For the first time we are making "NT Reboot" available to public. Please check it out. Oh, we made it free too. If you wish to contribute to our team, we appreciate it. Here is the link.
