It takes long to earn a trust/reputation. But it takes very little to completely loose one. When customer stops trusting you, you must justify everything you do until you earn the trust back.

We must

(1) not to think you are always right
(2) not to give up
(3) not to repeat the same mistake
(4) communicate with your customer
(5) evaluate what you did wrong in the first time

What is the better service?

Many people (technicians) think better service is better performance in their job. Many think they are doing good when they follow the industry standard procedures and guidelines. Some people think when the outcomes are good, that
all that matters.

If your customers are 100% logical being having no emotions at all, this would work. Unfortunately, customers are emotional beings. So, the results are not the only things they form their opinion. What they more likely to form their opinion is the way you communicate with them during the entire process. If there are problems with the products or services, people will judge you by how you communicate with them rather than how you solve the issues.

When the customers start asking you, "what are you doing?" and "Dis you do - - - - -?", you are not communication. You are considered reactive rather than proactive.

Learning from Apple Mobile Me

Apple has a service called Mobile Me. It synchronies Mail, Contact, Calendar and Folder. It is a very good service. This is a kind of service we as a Internet Email and Web Service Provider should provide.

You can do the same thing with Microsoft Exchange and Google Apps too. We will be looking at this very carefully soon.

In November to January, there is not enough daylight in Seattle area to play golf. We have not enough daylight because of both shorter sun shining hours and rain. We need to open an office somewhere it is sunny to get away from Seattle weather.

I just received the discount business class airfare information from US cities to London.

No, I am not planning at this point to go to London, but why is it that the airfare from Seattle to London round trip costs more than any other cities in the US? Is this a supply and demand issue? Or Seattle has some problems with Airlines?

The Last Board of Directors Meeting

Today was my last Seattle Executives Association Board of Director meeting. We joined Seattle Executives Association in 2003 and I have started to serve the board in 2005. Since then I served 18 months as a board member, 12 months as a treasurer, 6 months as 2nd VP, 6 month as VP, 6 months as President, and last 6 months as past president. And today was the last BOD meeting.

Thank you everyone for letting me serve. It was my pleasure and honor to server the organization. I will continue to be a member of the organization and serve the organization in different capacity.
