長崎のカツオです。

この時期やのに？　初ガツオの様なモチっとした身で美味しい！

長崎五島列島のかつおは鹿児島県、高知県などで有名なかつおとは異なります。
後者は真鰹（本鰹）といい関東などの東日本で流通しているかつおはこの真鰹になります。
それに対し五島列島は羽かつお。真鰹に比べるやや細長く、
真鰹には腹側にあるしま模様が背側にあるのが特徴で、
こちらではかつおのお刺身やタタキといえばこの羽かつおで、真鰹はほとんど食べません。
