臼杵市　『仁王座歴史の道』

臼杵の中でも最も城下町の風情を残すのがこの一角です。


臼杵城の西南にある、『仁王座』　徳川三代将軍家光の乳母、春日局が住んでいたと言われる場所です。


『日本歴史の道百選』　に選ばれ、漆喰壁の武家屋敷や古い蔵、お寺や洋館が続く曲がりくねった坂道。


石畳が続くノスタルジックな風景は、　大林宣彦監督の映画　「なごり雪」　の舞台にもなったところです。


【この場所も臼杵に来れば必ず歩きます、江戸時代にタイムスリップしたような風景が広がります。
　自由に入れて見学できる建物も多く、保存と手入れの行き届いた素晴らしい街です。】
