宮古空海を降りて最初の観光場所となりました。東平安名岬は島の東南部にあって岬の灯台までおよそ2kmという細長い岬です。近くまで車で行けて灯台までの遊歩道の途中にある展望台からの眺めです。大小の岩の上のグリーンと七色のエメラルドグリーンの海の輝きが美しい場所です。
