トロリーツアーに乗ってリトルイタリーの次の停車場
1769年、スペインのフニペロ・セラ神父とガスパル・デ・ポルトラ軍人によって創設されたオールドタウンはサンディエゴの発祥地です。
なんと、1860年代まではオールドタウンがサンディエゴの中心地だったのですが、1871年に政府が中心地を今のダウンタウンに移動しました。
今では、オールドタウンはメキシコの伝統文化とアメリカ/スペインの歴史を称えている場所で、メキシコとスペインのにおいがぷんぷん漂う魅力的な街です。
また、オールドタウンは交通の便が非常によく、トロリーのBlue LineやGreen Lineの駅と東西南北に走るMTSバスの駅としても、多くの人に利用されています。
