IMAP - - - What is the big de...
IMAP is not a big deal. It is just another technology that makes your little easier for your business. Until now, PSPINC offered email system called POP to everyone. We receive email on mails server and hold them until you access from your computer. Then all emails are transferred to your computer from the server. The system is solid and works, until you start accessing your email from multiple devices like PC, Laptop, Tablet and SmartPhone. To access your email from all your devices, you need to leave a copy of your email at the server and many of you do.

When you do that, you need to manage your email yourself. For instance, when you delete your email on your office PC, that email is deleted on your office PC not on your tablet, laptop or phone. You need to remember which email you already have replied, deleted or forwarded. That is a lot of work.

With IMAP, all emails are kept on the server. When you delete a email on your PC, email is deleted on the server. So when you access your email from your smartphone, the email that you deleted is deleted on every devices. That makes life little easier for you. But if you need to download your email to your device from the server, you can just highlight the emails that you need and drop it to the local folder. You can work offline as well.

IMAP (pronounces I MAP) is free upgrade to anyone who uses PSPINC's email hosting service. Please contact PSPINC to learn more about this small convenience that we developed for you.
