Should I unsubscribe or not?

I heard when you unsubscribed from the mailing list, you verify that your existence to the sender. So, it I better not to unsubscribe.

I personally unsubscribe from anything that I can unsubscribe. It seem to decrease the number ... at least for a while. But it is so annoying that people send you so many emails.
