I received a call from someone claiming to be from AT&T, and their number was 212-363-9945. They asked me to stop texting from the number 347-988-2536. The caller attempted to verify my identity, but I asked them to provide me with their information instead. They identified themselves as David Tan from AT&T, with the identifier FC114392. I informed them that I had recorded our conversation and that I would contact AT&T to verify their identity. In response, they threatened to cut off my phone service. I calmly accepted their statement, and they hung up.

It is crucial never to disclose personal information over the phone. If you believe a call might be legitimate, it is best to contact the company directly by using a trusted phone number. Keep in mind that most reputable companies do not typically initiate calls, so it is essential to exercise caution and be careful with any unexpected calls.
