I will be old enough to apply for Medicare Parts A & B soon, and today I had a face-to-face interview for it. There were many people waiting outside, but I had an appointment, so I didn't have to wait long. I met with the person, and he processed my Medicare application right away. It took less than 10 minutes and was completed. I should receive my Medicare card in a few weeks.

 

Medicare is federal health insurance for individuals aged 65 and older, as well as some individuals under 65 with certain disabilities or conditions. Medicaid, on the other hand, is a joint federal and state program that provides health coverage for some individuals with limited income and resources.

私はメディケア(米国社会保険)の申請資格がある年齢になるで、今日はその手続きのために面接を受けました。外で待っている人がたくさんいましたが、私は予約があったので待つ必要はありませんでした。担当の方と会い、すぐにメディケアの申請手続きが進められました。10分もかからずに終了しました。数週間以内にメディケアカードが届く予定です。

 

メディケアは65歳以上の個人向けの連邦保険であり、また特定の障害や状態を持つ65歳未満の個人向けにも提供されています。一方、メディケイドは連邦と州の共同プログラムであり、所得や資産が限られている一部の人々に医療保障を提供しています。
