Tokyo Building Lights

Tokyo Building Lights
http://en.bloguru.com/ken/106162/saving-energy

You can see the Shinjyuku building lights on March 30, 2011. The picture above is tonight. You can see there are more lights on those buildings but not as bright as 2009.

It started rain tonight ... It is just a little rain, but everybody has an umbrella. People are scared about nuclear fallouts, I guess.

Misunderstanding ... Just admit it.

thread
Tokyo Electric Company (TEPCO) stopped pouring sea water into a reactor for 50 minuets because of the order from the prime minister. The prime minister asked TEPCO to stop pouring based on the advise from the nuclear agency. The nuclear agency denied advising the prime minister. The advisor said "the meltdown possibility is not zero".

That is at least what my understanding of what went on.

Who cares, who stopped? and Why? It was a mistake, Get over it. Don't waste arguing about it and focus on the recovery.

Earthquake and Tsunami News in Japan

thread
The broadcasting in Japan now is focusing on the monetary damages. They are mainly talking about Tokyo Electric (TEPCO) and how much it will have to spend to compensate.

Now they are talking about as much as 15,000,000,000,000 yen ($18 Billion Dollars) that TEPCO may need. It is very close to what BP set aside for the gulf oil spill. TEPCO has not clearly said they will pay.

Gas Prices

thread
Gas Prices
I filled up my car this morning and it cost me $64. I am not driving a gas guzzler. I am driving an Acoord. The gallon of regular at Safeway is now $3.93. What is with that? Someone is making lots of money. We need to move to something alternate. But out of $3.93, how much of that are taxes?

A price of success.

thread
A price of success.
You can not have it both ways, or can you?

You must be willing to pay the price for success.

I heard this from Mr. Ralph Broksos, http://www.rbruksos.com/, who spoke at Seattle Executives Association meeting today. For some people, the price for success is too high to bare. For some, even with the high prices of success, success is out of reach. But one thing for sure, unless you are willing to pay the price, you will never succeed in anything.

I guess it is called "Fair Exchange". Most of us, we cannot have it both.
