We now have a brand new hot water tank. The last one lasted 11 years ... I guess it was time to change. This one is supposed to be 15% more efficient.

Curtis ... you need a better web site ... ;-D
I have been focusing on growing the business for last 24 years and never spent any effort to support communities surrounding us. That all changed this year on March 11. When the Earthquake and Tsunami hit northern Japan, we know we had to do something. We announced that we were going to much donations to Japan, and we are able to raise over $70,000 in 5 days.
It has been almost 5 months, people around us still thanking us and recognizing us for what we did. We did not do anything to be thanked or recognized. We did what we thought necessary, nothing more.
Last Friday, we were recognized at Lenny Wilkens Odessa Brown Charity Auction for our community support. Again, we did not do this, and people did not have have to recognize us. But I must say, we are very honored. This award gives us motivation to work harder, create better products so that we can give more back to communities that made us what we are.
Thank you.

Here is a quote I found on the net.
"In times of rapid change, experience could be your worst enemy."-J. Paul Getty

University of Washington, Harbor View Medical Center is the only Level I adult and pediatric trauma and burn center serving the states of Washington, Alaska, Montana and Idaho.
Unlike a "for profit" hospitals like Swe..sh, this hospital has the clear purpose to save lives. The problem with medical system is the cost of medical care. That needs to be fixed first. Doctors need to be more than sales person for drug manufacturers.

Japan and USA need to have more people studying abroad, don't you think?
Since I got to Japan, I have been waking up around 4 in the morning ... that makes a day very long.
Tomorrow will be the last day in Japan for analog TV broadcasting. Every channel on TV will go digital tomorrow noon. There is a rash of TV buying going on in Japan. Digital TVs cost about twice there compared to the US. That is because sellers are expecting last minuets buyers.
I believe the price of digital YVs will drop in Japan within few weeks if not days.
Many manufacturing jobs have moved to China and other cheap labor countries. But manufacturing jobs are the core for the economic recovery. Without them, money you make will only flow out of the country.
So, it really makes me happy to see "MADE IN USA" on anything. I saw this container at Canyons last night. It may cost more, but it is a very good quality container. Good job.
There is a budget talk going on in Washington. So I did little study trying to find out why the government has so much debt. Of cause, the government is spending more than what they have. They need to cut the cost but how about the income side?
I found out from the little research that US government used to tax 50% income tax over $212,000. In 1963, the top bracket income tax rate was 90%. It is all 35% now. I do not like to pay tax, but I think I am willing to pay higher than this 35% if I am making say $500,000 or more.

Above link show the history of the income tax rates. Also, the graphics above is what we have been taught ... Is it true? This formula does not work for everyone. It seem to work for a few rich people.
I again, I do not want to pay tax if I don't have to. But this low tax thing does not seem to work. It was fun, but it might be time to pay up.
