It has been a week ...

It has been a week ...
It has been a week since we start receiving power at our data center at Fisher Plaza. The entire building is still running using the extremely large diesel generators.

The picture you see here is the picture I took when I went to Fisher Plaza early morning of July 3, 2009. Unfortunately, this was the third time I saw Fisher Plaza dark since 2006.

Exchange Business Cards Virtually

thread
Exchange Business Cards Virtu...
ScannedCards.com enables you to register your business card information on the server. Once you register your business cards, you will receive your unique ID number and the QR Code for your business card.

Instead of exchanging business card one time, with ScannedCards.com, you exchange business card with someone forever. That means, even if you change your email, phone number, company or even your name, people will always have your latest contact information.

QR Code gives you a convenient way to exchange ID without remembering the ID. Just use your QR Code ready cellular phone and take a picture.

We are currently in the beta development status. Almost all the functions are working. Please take this opportunity to register your business card. It is free until it is in Beta.

The term "QR Code" is a registered trademark of DENSO WAVE INCORPORATED.

Twitter's Business Model

thread
Twitter's Business Model
Twitter is acting very slow and it showed "Over Capacity" error sometimes. Twitter worked great when we had fire at Fisher Plaza and lost the ability to communicate with the world.

As I look at Twitter, it has no advertisement. How are they making money? With this much users, they must be adding servers like a crazy. I do not understand the business model. They are provably trying to be purchased by someone like Google. Or are they already a part of another company?

ClockLink Impressions

thread
ClockLink Impressions
We have recorded little under 20 million impression of clocks from the ClockLinbk.coma. This is about 25% smaller than what it used to be. We have been concerned about this number but today we found the problem.

We provide clock from ClockLinbk.coma using 4 servers and one of the access counting system was not activated after the incident at our data center. This is the reason why the count is 25% less than what it supposed to be.

It is good to know that we did not loose that many users.
