We had annual Seattle Executives Association Auction today at Crowne Plaza, downtown Seattle. It was really fun night. I do not know how much SEA rose this year, but it looks like a big success.

John Curley was the auctioneer. He was really good.

Seattle Executives Auction tonight. John Curley will be the auctioneer. I expect to be one of the most fan nights.

Last year, someone auctioned the portrait of me. I spent $1,200 getting that. This year, I am not expecting that kind of thing to happen. I hope not.

ScannedCards.com PART 4

thread
ScannedCards.com PART 4
ScannedCard.com can be used to control which contact gets what information using the star rating system. When you exchange business, you can valuate them by 1 to 5 stars. On your business card information, personal information and telephone numbers can be rated from 1 to 5 stars as well. So, let’s say you value someone at 3 stars, he or she can see information that is stared 3 stars or less. So the person with three stars will not be able to access your 4 or 5 star information like your cellular phone number. You can change the star valuation anytime you wish.

Another this. This is not a social networking site. It is design to manage your contact data. So, you do not need to put any information that is private to you like your home address.

The image you see is my PSP business card with ScannedCards.com QR code. As you can see, I have very little information on this card. With ScannedCards.com, I have no reason to put any more than basic information the business card.

Japan Trip / GIFT IDEA

thread
Japan Trip / GIFT IDEA
I am going to Japan starting on May 28 for about two weeks. I usually go to Japan every other month except July in July and August. It is just too hot there.

Every time I travel there, I bring some gifts. I usually play a round of golf there with my business partner, so many of the gifts are related to golf. Sometime, I bring golf balls, polo shirts and so on. This time, I found something that is interesting. It is call the little one. This is a training club.

Take a look at the web site. The name on the back of the club is PSP like our company name. It will make a great gift.

FOR AN ENVIRONMENT

thread
FOR AN ENVIRONMENT
For consideration for the environment PSPINC applied for ENVIROSTAR (http://www.envirostars.org/) certification. Yesterday, a person from the organization came to inspect us and gave us a three-star certification. There are a few more things that we must do but we will be shooting for four or even five-star certification next year.

ScannedCards.com PART 3

thread
ScannedCards.com PART 3
ScannedCards.com enables you to register your business card and issues you a funny looking symbol called RQ code. So, what is this QR code?

A QR Code is a matrix code (or two-dimensional bar code) created by Japanese corporation Denso-Wave in 1994. The "QR" is derived from "Quick Response", as the creator intended the code to allow its contents to be decoded at high speed. QR Codes are common in Japan, where they are currently the most popular type of two dimensional codes. Moreover, most current Japanese mobile phones can read this code with their camera.

What happen when your QR Code is read by mobile phone equipped with the QR Code reader? Well, this is what is going to happen you read the QR Code issued by ScannedCards.com. It opens a mobile browser and connects to ScannedCards.com and enters the ID number. If you are a registered user of ScannedCards.com, you have just initiated the business card exchange with the person just handed you the business card with ScannedCards.com QR Code.

QR Code you see on this screen is the QR Code generated byScannedCards.com for me. If you have a QR Ready mobile phone, scan it. It will take you toScannedCards.com. If not, just go toScannedCards.com and enter my ID displayed at the bottom of the QR Code. You can exchange business card by typing the number too.

There is a QR Code reader software available for Google Phone, iPhone, Windows Mobile Phone and BlackBerry. All new LG Phone are equipped with QR Code readers. All phones with camera in Japan are QR ready. QR is coming.

The term "QR Code" is a registered trademark of DENSO WAVE INCORPORATED.
