Blog Post Signature Feature Released

We are happy to announce that we have released the all-new blog post signature feature on Bloguru. With this feature, you can create a blog post signature that will append to the bottom of all of your blog posts on your blog’s home page and on each individual blog post. This field supports HTML, which allows you to create a unique look to your signature.

The signature feature is available under “Options”→ “basics” → “Blog Post Signature” after logging into your account.
Note: If you update your signature, the changes will only be reflected on new blog posts going forward. If you wish to edit past blog signatures, you can modify it on the same edit blog post screen you use to edit your blog’s content.

Learning Japanese-Online

Back in the mid 90’s we were publishing software products enabling non-Japanese Windows PC’s to display and input Japanese characters called KanjiKit and KanjiWORD. It was used by a variety of people outside of Japan. Nowadays, there is no need for you to buy a Japanese version of Windows to display and input Japanese.

As an extension of that service, we started Japanese-Online.com on November 11th, 1996. Yes, this site has been in operation for the last 24 years. It has been revised many times in the past but for the last few years, it had not been updated, and as a result subscriptions went down.

Recently, we started updating, modernizing, and reviving the website. We are now collaborating with a company in Japan to resell Japanese learning video lessons. If you have time please take a look at the site. We also have a blog using Bloguru, another service of PSPinc, to post Japanese related information.

Additionally, we have been broadcasting weekly newsletters. In these newsletters we talk about a wide range of topics including Japanese language, expressions, culture, food, unique items, etc. You can sign up to the JOL newsletter for free by visiting Japanese-Online.com. In one of our recent newsletters, we provided some information on a new service we were preparing to launch called Simple Data Pool.

This service is an upgraded version of our existing storage and backup platform. It allows you to securely store, share, collaborate, and backup all kinds of files. With Simple Data Pool we are running on state-of-the-art hardware and offer 10 times the storage of our previous system with prices starting at $99 annually.

We are in the middle of the COVID-19 pandemic and many of us are forced to work remotely from our homes. In this current climate we need to work differently than the way we used to. We are a datacenter and server operation company, so we have plenty of storage space to share files. However, I imagine our customers may be having difficulties managing and sharing files.

We have dedicated a portion of our storage capacity for people to share within their company. This service has been available for years and we are charging $99 for 10GB of storage. We have now increased the capacity by 10 times to 100GB of space for $99. This storage space can be upgraded to 1TB and is the best option available with complete and personalized customer support.

It’s Time to Think Recovery

We are in the middle of the fight with COVID-19 and the news outlets are very depressing. All companies are trying to weather this storm. We are hoping that somehow this pandemic will go away soon just like a Hollywood movie. The reality is, we may be dealing with this for a long time and our lives must adjust to this new normal. What is happening in places like Italy and France is people are getting tired of the “Stay-Home” order and are starting to move around. This will happen in the US as well, we are not as patient as we would like to be.

As business owners and managers, you have to adjust to this new reality soon. Yes, this thing will be over in one way or another. When it is over, companies that prepared for recovery now will have a better chance to excel.

Person-to-person contact is out of the question right now, so you need to update your website. Since you have more time now, learning how to build your website is not a bad option. I am not asking you to go out and buy a book to learn how to create a website. I am asking you to take a look at easy tools to create or update your website. Replacing a few pictures and changing the copyright notice from 2012 to 2020 are good starting points.

You can update your corporate history or product information. Contact information is also important to maintain. You can also check to see if your website is mobile device ready. Nowadays, more people are looking at your website from their cellular phones. Oh, for restaurant owners, did you change your operating hours? Do you provide “Pickup” and “Delivery” services? Do you have special menus? Did you contact businesses near you to let them know you are open?

These are simple changes that you can make to your website. People won’t know you are open if you don’t tell them you are open, they will assume you are closed … that is the new normal. By the way, our company is open for business taking care of your web and email. If you call, we will pick up the phone. Stay healthy and connected virtually.
