“皐月”《襍木・/・古往今来299》

サツキ（皐月）ツツジ科（Ericaceae）
学名：Rhododendron indicum (L.) Sweet
別名：サツキツツジ

ツツジの園芸種。名前の通り5月に花を咲かせる。
（ツツジとの違いは、花の時期と葉が出てから花を咲かせる）。
赤褐色の葉は、垣根として落ち着いている。
見本園の入り口、後ろのソシンロウバイとの色合い、シックに映る。
