In the Bay Area, it seems that the vaccine passport has finally become a compulsory part of everyday life.

As of today, no one can enter a restaurant in this area without presenting a vaccine passport.

In Seattle, the decision has been left up to each restaurant, but here in the Bay Area, the governor has started enforcing the law as of today.

The pros and cons of vaccination are controversial and no one can reach a final conclusion yet.

In the free country of the U.S., is it really okay for the government to control the decision of whether or not to introduce life-threatening chemicals into the human body?

It seems to me that Japanese society, which usually feels totalitarian, respects freedom much more in this respect.

Do you know these, my American dude?

In Japanese society, individual freedom of belief and respect for human rights are so well functioning that the government cannot issue a lockdown.
Furthermore, no one can force people to wear masks.
There is just a strong social norm of pressure among citizens to wear masks.
Furthermore, it is not in the government's power to make vaccination a condition for entry into retail stores.

It seems to me that Japanese law is more protective of individual freedom and human rights.

When people are in a state of emergency and fear takes over, they lose their ability to make normal decisions.

I am amazed to see that in France, the first country in the world to declare human rights, vaccine passports are in wide use and the government is enforcing them.
Normally, people can chant the ideals of human rights and freedom, but when they become obsessed with fear, they stop thinking.

If Japanese society still has the ability to think and judge normally, I believe it is because of the Totoro lurking in the forest.
