ScannedCards.com PART 4

thread
ScannedCards.com PART 4
ScannedCard.com can be used to control which contact gets what information using the star rating system. When you exchange business, you can valuate them by 1 to 5 stars. On your business card information, personal information and telephone numbers can be rated from 1 to 5 stars as well. So, let’s say you value someone at 3 stars, he or she can see information that is stared 3 stars or less. So the person with three stars will not be able to access your 4 or 5 star information like your cellular phone number. You can change the star valuation anytime you wish.

Another this. This is not a social networking site. It is design to manage your contact data. So, you do not need to put any information that is private to you like your home address.

The image you see is my PSP business card with ScannedCards.com QR code. As you can see, I have very little information on this card. With ScannedCards.com, I have no reason to put any more than basic information the business card.

The term "QR Code" is a registered trademark of DENSO WAVE INCORPORATED.

Ken, I was looking at the website. What is the purpose of the barcode graphic if only a code is necessary? Is there another part to this, like a scanner that reads the graphic? Just curious how this all works! :)

The bar code (QR CODE) enables your mobile phone to read and takes you to the right web site. There is not code reading required. Almost all smart phones can read QR code. New LG phones are equipped with QR reader.

When you are a registered user of ScannedCards.com, and when you meet other ScannedCards.com user, all you have to do is to take a picture of his/her business card using your cellular phone. The business card exchange can be completed without any key entry.

That is a great idea, especially because you don't have to have a scanner.

Thank you for your comment. Please do register. If nothing else, having QR code on your business card is a very good conversation starter.
