ScannedCards.com PART 4

thread
ScannedCards.com PART 4
ScannedCard.com can be used to control which contact gets what information using the star rating system. When you exchange business, you can valuate them by 1 to 5 stars. On your business card information, personal information and telephone numbers can be rated from 1 to 5 stars as well. So, let’s say you value someone at 3 stars, he or she can see information that is stared 3 stars or less. So the person with three stars will not be able to access your 4 or 5 star information like your cellular phone number. You can change the star valuation anytime you wish.

Another this. This is not a social networking site. It is design to manage your contact data. So, you do not need to put any information that is private to you like your home address.

The image you see is my PSP business card with ScannedCards.com QR code. As you can see, I have very little information on this card. With ScannedCards.com, I have no reason to put any more than basic information the business card.

FOR AN ENVIRONMENT
For consideration for the environment PSPINC applied for ENVIROSTAR (http://www.envirostars.org/) certification. Yesterday, a person from the organization came to inspect us and gave us a three-star certification. There are a few more things that we must do but we will be shooting for four or even five-star certification next year.

ScannedCards.com PART 3

thread
ScannedCards.com PART 3
ScannedCards.com enables you to register your business card and issues you a funny looking symbol called RQ code. So, what is this QR code?

A QR Code is a matrix code (or two-dimensional bar code) created by Japanese corporation Denso-Wave in 1994. The "QR" is derived from "Quick Response", as the creator intended the code to allow its contents to be decoded at high speed. QR Codes are common in Japan, where they are currently the most popular type of two dimensional codes. Moreover, most current Japanese mobile phones can read this code with their camera.

What happen when your QR Code is read by mobile phone equipped with the QR Code reader? Well, this is what is going to happen you read the QR Code issued by ScannedCards.com. It opens a mobile browser and connects to ScannedCards.com and enters the ID number. If you are a registered user of ScannedCards.com, you have just initiated the business card exchange with the person just handed you the business card with ScannedCards.com QR Code.

QR Code you see on this screen is the QR Code generated byScannedCards.com for me. If you have a QR Ready mobile phone, scan it. It will take you toScannedCards.com. If not, just go toScannedCards.com and enter my ID displayed at the bottom of the QR Code. You can exchange business card by typing the number too.

There is a QR Code reader software available for Google Phone, iPhone, Windows Mobile Phone and BlackBerry. All new LG Phone are equipped with QR Code readers. All phones with camera in Japan are QR ready. QR is coming.

The term "QR Code" is a registered trademark of DENSO WAVE INCORPORATED.

ScannedCards.com PART 1

thread
ScannedCards.com PART 1
How many business cards have you collected last year? How about a year before that? Have you taken a time to put them in your contact database? Or you just have them in your drawers or boxes. Even if you put them on your contact database, you will never know if the information in your database is up to date.

The picture you see above is the business card of Lincoln in 19th century. We have added telephone number, fax number and email address, but the business card itself has not evolved at all since it was developed. We need better way to exchange contact information wit each other. We need a central database of contact information.

This is the thought behind the development of ScannedCards.com.

I will get into more detail tomorrow. Please take your time to register your contact information at ScannedCards.com.

Great Car Wash Deal --- Park Place LTD

thread

I went to PARK PLACE LTD in Bellevue to wash my car. They have all hand washed card wash at very reasonable price of $24.95. I was really impressed with their work with our company cars, so I decided to go there myself.

When I went there, there were about 3 cars in front of me. They told me it is going t be about 35 minuets. I said Okay and went inside. When I was ready to pay, the lady at the counter told me that they are running special. If AI buys 8 car washes for $199, they will give me additional 4 car washes. Even with sales tax, the wash is going to be $18.25. It is a great deal and needless to say I bought it. If you live in the eastside, you should buy this. You can’t even buy a machine wash for that price any more.

While I was waiting for my car to be washed, I walked over to the dealership. I met David Bruski. I’ve known him since 1996. When to PARK PLACE LTD open its first web site, I and David work together to create that web site. Since they we have become a friend. If you are buying a car from to PARK PLACE LTD, ask for David Bruski and mention my name. He should be able to help you out.
