What is "A Machine Identification Code" ?

thread
What is "A Machine Identificati...
Most of you do not know that your printer prints secret code to the printed paper.

What?

It is called "A Machine Identification Code" which prints date, time and printer serial number using tiny yellow dots almost invisible to your eyes. This is not something new. It has been going on since the beginning of printer to identify and authentic the printed document.

How do you use it?

Someone may present the document claiming the date of the document to be 2 years ago with your signature. With this "A Machine Identification Code", people can proof it was printed few weeks ago and the printer that you have no access of.

So next time you print something on the inkjet printer, take a close look and see if you can spot small yellow dots.

ps: What happen when you run out of yellow ink??? Hmmm

What Social Distancing ???

thread
1' is not Social Distance 1' is not Social Distance
One of the fact I heard that there are more COVID-19 infections in NY is the fact that people have to use subway and other public transportation system to move around. Looking at some of the pictures, it reminds me of rush hours in Japan.

Public Transportation is a good idea but when it comes to containing infections like COVID-19, it is not good. Here in Washington State, we are buliding light rail system. Is that a good idea?

I like rail system ... but I don't like the way they tricked people to pay more. We vote it down, but judge is still allowing them charge more. I really hate that part.

Remote Work

If remote work is great for a company, every company should be doing it. The fact is, that remote work is an alternative to working in the office in many cases. Remote work is not ideal for small companies that feature many decision changes. One of the most significant advantages that small companies have over large companies is the speed and ability to change direction. Being able to adapt to market changes quickly and swiftly makes small businesses competitive.

Small companies working remotely will lose this competitive advantage. Remote work is great for doing set daily tasks. These types of tasks can be done even more productively at home. Though, there are not many small growing companies featuring these kinds of established tasks. So getting better productivity from remote work for small companies is almost null.

In order to protect employees due to the Coronavirus, many companies are allowing people to work from home. This is an understandable course of action. No company or management want to be responsible for people getting infected. However, do not think because you feel more comfortable working from home, companies will allow remote work when it becomes unnecessary. Especially for small businesses.
