We suponsored and played at Northwest Minority Supplier Development Council golf tournament at Twin Lakes today. We shot like 8 or 9 under which is not too good for a scramble. I know many teams shot under 60. But somehow we won second place. WOW.
UNIQLO a Japanese colthing company is gathering the unique T-Short design based on Disney's Micky Charactor. I did not think Disney let you do that. But of you are an artist, you can submit your own design. For more information, follow the link below.

Is Your Business Ready for The New Normal?
The only thing that you have control as a business is the cost. How do you reduce cost without reducing services that you provide to your customers?
Take a look at your IT cost. How much are you spending on your Computer, Internet, Email and Web? Do you need everything you are paying for? Or you think you need them but you don't. With the advancement in technologies, you have many more options than say two years ago. You might want to spend little time investigating what you have.
Would you buy "MADE IN THE USA" even if the product is more expensive?
The answer is ... "NO"
Let's not kid ourselves by thinking products made in the USA would sell. It used to be true. Why? Because Made in The USA used to mean "better" products. Unfortunately, many products are not better.
The question should be, "Would you buy products made in the USA when those products are better than anything out there at competitive price?"
It is not up to consumer to decide what to buy, it is up to tghe US companies to produce better products at the competetive prices. Let's make people want to buy MADE IN THE USA. I think we can do that.
From time to time, I will select a product that is available in both US and Japan and compare a price for you based on the current currency exchange.
LEXUS LS 460 Base Model
US Retail $66,000
JP Retail Y7,960,000 = $94,761
The same car costs $28,761 more in the US than it is in Japan. This is 43% more. This is because:
(1) US is the bigger and more competitive market than Japan, so TOYOTA sets base price lower for sale in the US.
(2) Currency exchange rate. TOYOTA may have set the exchange rate to be 120 yen to a US$. At 120 yen, US and Japan pricing would have been the same.
There is a great sales opportunities for the companies in the US to sell their products in Japan.
US$ = JPY Currency Exchange as of August 24, 2010 is 84 Yen to US$1.
Mayumi Nakamura, president of PSPINC, flew to Long Beach this morning. She will have over 10 meetings in 3 days with several Japanese corporations headquartered in southern California.
I think we are expanding our web hosting business to southern California where there are more than 70,000 Japanese people. Mayumi is planning to visit California every month.
Travelex ... You have seen them at airport. They say NO FEE foreign currency exchange. This is a rip off. The current Japanese Yen to US Dollar is about 86 yen to 1 dollar. At this stand they sell Japanese yen at 73.99 yen to a dollar.
They are making 14% or 12 yen profit every time they sell 1 US dollar. Where in that transaction is NO FEE? Is this even legal? Can they do that? How can you claim they charge no FEE?
I took this picture this morning at out side of baggage claim at SEATAC this morning. This area used to be smoking area for the airport but it is not more. However, it is used as a smoking area anyway as you can see on top of the trash bin and the lady smoking sitting down.
I used to smoke so I know how difficult it is not to smoke. I think so long as smoking is legal, we should provide better smoking areas. After all, State received big money from the tobacco companies and smokers. If there is better smoking areas, they might not be smoking in no smoking areas.
