ホヤの中でも最高級品とされる　『赤ほや』　です。

「真ホヤ」　と比べると赤みが強く磯臭さは無く濃厚な味で身がしっかりしています。

赤ホヤで有名な北海道の主な産地は、稚内と根室。

真ホヤとは全く違い濃厚な味でした。
形も色も真ホヤとは違いますね。
