Raspberries

Earlier this year, a student gave me a small raspberry plant, which I planted in my garden. It grew very fast & very big, & now it has lots of black raspberries on it, as you can see. If I can get enough (& stop Owen eating them), I might try to make some jam.

Could you get raspberries by a year? I would try to plant it in my parents' garden, wouldn't I?
Is its taste sweet or sour? And do you eat it with its skin? In fact, I don't know how to eat berries very well, oh...I can eat strawberries of course!
