Gift & Challenge!

Gift & Challenge!
I`m not just a teacher at Teragoya. I am also the designated `Teragoya Handyman`, which means I have to fix things which are broken or damaged. I am the natural choice for this position because I`m good at fixing things ...and I`m often the person responsible for breaking & damaging those things in the first place!

The husband of one of our staff, Yumi, knows this, so he bought this tool set for me as a gift. What a nice guy!

But what is the item I have circled? What`s it for? Challenge!

I think that it make a corner of like wire or something. Or, the one like the board is placed between the ditch and something is done.
Then, I don't come up a good idea. Ha,ha...

It looks like a key for unlocking flush fitting floor/wall panels, double glazed windows, and, may be used to unlock toilet door locks from the outside.

Sorry, neither of you is correct!

It`s for screwing hooks, as you can see in this diagram (from the back of the box). Actually, I usually just use my fingers to do this., but maybe if the wood is hard or the hook is rusty, this tool is useful.
