Asian Cup Final Result

Asian Cup Final Result
Aaargh!!!

Japan beat Australia 1-0 in the final of the Asian Cup. I`m so disappointed...

I thought Australia was stronger, and looked in control for most of the game, but they missed or wasted all their goal-scoring chances. Also, the marking disappeared for Japan`s goal. Where was our defense???

Anyway, congratulations to Japan and the goalscorer, Lee.

Hang on - isn`t `Lee` a Korean name...?

Hehe

I agree with you. I think Australia was much stronger.
But Japan was won anyway.
Did you drink in frustration?

No, I`d already drunk too much.

Instead I went to bed & cried like a baby.

I felt sorry for you when I read an article on the top page's the newspaper. I hope that Australia will win the next Asian Cup. Then, it might happen that South Korea would win. Are you looking forward the next Asian Cup?

Of course I hope Australia wins the next Asian Cup, but you`re right - South Korea is also strong nowadays, and some less-famous footballing countries are also sometimes surprisingly difficult to beat - it`s hard to predict the winner. That`s one reason I`m looking forward to the next Asian Cup!
