One Man`s Trash #12

thread
One Man`s Trash #12

I made this clock from:

- wood I picked up at Mihama Beach in Fukui Prefecture
- coloured glass from the beach in Chita Penninsula which we visited a few weeks ago
- a clock from the 100 yen (A$1) store!

I want to make the hands longer, but if they get too heavy, they won`t turn properly. Maybe I should just leave it as it is. I think it looks okay. What do you think?

It looks nice! How big is the clock?
I want to look it if I would get a chance.
Aren't the coloured glass dangerous? But the colour is mysterious tinge.

The diameter is about 25cm. I put it on the wall outside my classroom, above the shoebox - please look! The glass isn`t dangerous, because the sand has worn away the sharp edges. Don`t you know this kind of glass? Haven`t you ever found it on the beach?

Instead of making the hands bigger, you could draw thin lines from each piece of glass towards the centre.

Yeh, that`s true. I could also draw a smaller circle inside, with numbers, but I think that would ruin the appearance.
