Narcissus tazetta L. subsp. chinensis (M.Roem.) Masam. et Yanagih.
別名：ニホンズイセン（日本水仙）

八重咲き種。

日本で野性化している普通に見られるスイセンは白花で副花冠が黄色のスイセンであり、
スイセン(狭義)と呼ばれている。ニホンスイセンと呼ばれることもある。
中国のものが日本に渡来したものとされている。
八重咲きのものもよく栽培され、ヤエズイセンという。
スイセンは広義にはスイセン属の園芸品種をいい、2万種以上の品種がある。
