Golfing in the rain

thread
Golfing in the rain
I played golf totally in the rain today. It was not too bad. I think I must get used to this. This is one of the prices you must pay to live in the Washington State.

Understanding Solid State Drive

thread
Understanding Solid State Drive
A solid-state drive (SSD) is a data storage device that uses solid-state memory to store persistent data. SSDs are distinguished from traditional hard disk drives (HDDs), which are electromechanical devices containing spinning disks and movable read/write heads. SSDs, in contrast, use microchips and data is retained in non-volatile memory chips[1]and contain no moving parts.[1] Compared to traditional HDDs, SSDs are typically less susceptible to physical shock, quieter, and have lower access time and latency. SSDs use the same interface as hard disk drives, thus easily replacing them in most applications.

Today, you can buy 60GB SSD for $100. For $100, you can buy 1.5TB of hard disk drive.

Android Supports Flash

thread
Android Supports Flash
Did you know Android phones like HTC EVO supports Flash? That means you can view sites like http://www.clocklink.com. The reason why I am writing this is that Apples iPhone and iPad do not support Flash. Apple recommends HTML 5 instead.

Flash may be power hog for mobile devices, but they are fun and very popular. If Apple decides to support Flash on their mobile devices, they will be more popular.

I finished my first video project.

thread
I finished my first video project.

I just finished my first video editing and production project. I took video from the HD video camera and converted it to Quick Time HD Movie. Use the software to edit and add text and export it as smaller Quick Time Movie.

It should not take any expert any more than an hour, but it took me 2 days. Now I can do this in an hour or two. Who said you can't teach old dog new tricks.

Be an amateur

thread
Be an amateur
One of the things that I lean from Junki Yoshida's speech is being an amateur is not a bad thing. If you know too much, you often decide not to do things. Being an amateur (an ignorant) you do things that comes from your belief or your passion. Irresponsible? May be. But there is nothing wrong with thinking out side the box.

Two years ago, we were cirtified as Minority Business and joined Northwest Minority Supplier Diversity Council. We wnt to National Minority Supplier Diversity Council Opportunity Fair in Las Vesgas. Last year, we went to New Orleans. This year was going to be at Arizona, but was moved to Miami.
