Web site alone is not enough!

thread
Everybody wants new business. To get new businesses for your business, you need to make sure people know about your business. So, you build the web site to attract people. But you soon find that you have attracted very few people to your web site.

So, now you are thinking of Search Engine Optimization or even pay per click advertisement.

First of all, you are not attracting people to your web site because your web site is

(1) Static / Not Changing
(2) No important information (Usually too much)
(3) Not providing any benefit to visitors
(4) not being promoted
(5) Boring

You need to make changes. We recommend

(1) Adding blog to your site
(2) Connecting your site to Social Networking Sites
(3) Simplify your web site by eliminating some of the information.

People do not spend a lot of time reading the contents of your web site. If you need to learn more about this approach to your web site, please contact me.

PS: Congratulations to Ai Miyazato for her first LPGA tour victory. Japan must be going nuts over this.

Fisher Plaza Update

thread
Fisher Plaza Update
Fisher Plaza East is still 100% powered by generators. This is an update for restoration to city power to Fisher Plaza.

The goal to restore city power is still planned as end of August. Though
this one is a temporary solution, the gears to put central risers
(technical, mechanical, and lights & power) back to city power will be
here soon. The earliest time for power restoration will be next weekend.
Therefore, this means that those three risers could be back on city
power by August 3rd.

The north and south risers running on the basement generators will be
restored after that. The gear for those are still scheduled to be sent
out this Friday, the 24th. Any required process will take place once
those arrive.

Those are the words from Fisher Plaza. I took this picture on the day the power went out.

Finally I have 4GB memory on My iMac

thread
Finally I have 4GB memory on...
I finally upgraded my computer's memory to 4GB. As far as I know, this is the maximum amount of memory I can have on my iMac.

Things run much much better with memory. I really do recommend you to have as much RAM as possible. If you buy memory from PSPINC, we will install it for you at no additional charge.

Golf Tournament Today

thread
I am going to Master Builder's Association Golf tournament today. That means I will miss Seattle Executives Association Luncheon meeting today. I have not been to the SEA meeting for last three weeks. The first two weeks were because I was in Japan.

It is not good when you are a second VP of the association. At least I will go to the board meeting tomorrow morning.

thread
QR Code Programming
QR Code (2D Bar Code) was developed by Denso in Japan to keep track of all the parts ... that is what I heard.

PSPINC was contracted to develop business card database called scannedcards.com. This system utilizes the QR Code to ID the member and enables you to exchange business cards virtually.

PSPINC has developed the know how to work with QR Code. If you need an application design using QR Code, please contact us.

This picture was created to promote scannedcards.com.

Aperture 2 for Macintosh

thread
Aperture 2 for Macintosh
I installed Aperture 2 to manage 45,000 digital photos I have in my computer. I took all night to import and create an thumbnails all images, but once it is done, it is very fast and reliable.

If you have a lot of images, this is a very good $100 investment.
