Remembering Names

thread
Remembering Names
I am alway very bad with remembering names of people. However, now being a president of Seattle Executives Association, it is very important that I remember every member's name.

I used Macintosh and there is a software called iPhoto. It came with facial recognition software that enables me to organize people by faces. I used this software to organize every pictures and add name to everyone. It is like studying for a final exam.

It helped me a lot. But I still some names slip from my memory. I am trying.

Installing Generators

thread
Installing Generators
To power our HQ datacenter, we have purchased two diesel generators. They have arrived at PSP about a week ago and people from VECA and PSR are working very hard to install those generators.

While VECA is connecting the generators to the power panels, PSR is working hard to install exhaust pipes.

Aperture 3 is now available

thread
Aperture 3 is now available
I have more than 45,000 images in my computer. I used iPhoto few years ago and was not capable of handing that many images. I purchased Aperture 2 last year, it worked great but new iphoto is much better. So, I switched from Aperture 2 to iPhoto. Now, Aperture 3 is out ($99 upgrade), I bought it and I will switch to Aperture 3.

I am a sucker, aren't I?

Get a QR Code Reader for you...
There are several QR Code reder software available today for many makes of cellular phones. Here is one site that I found that might help yopu find the right QR Code reader for your mobile devide. I personally use Blackberry Tour and it works with QR Code Reader called BeeTagg. Some of my friend use i-nigma QR Code Reader. i-nigma seems to work good with Microsoft Mobile Phones.

$100,000 per second advertisement

thread
$100,000 per second advertise...
I an watching the super bowl on TV. Good game so far, but advertisements are something else. Considering it costs $3 million for any 30 second spot, they must work for the company.

One thing that I noticed is that every advertisement carries Web page addresses for people to follow up. TV advertisement is 100% one way, that is why you need internet.

Business is different now

thread
Business is different now
Used to be: You start your own business, you work hard to build your business and someday you will pass the business to someone or go public or bought out by someone.

Now, it looks like everything takes place over the Power Point rather than real work. This model was proven fault when the dot com boom was bursted. But people are still trying this Power Point as a business model. It does not not work.

If you work hard, make real money, then you can talk about exit. That is what I think. Raising money is not same as business making money, or is it?
