I played a round of golf yesterday from 10:30 to 3:00pm. We were lucky that we missed all that rain.

I shot 96. Yesterday was not one of my better days. The air was really heavy and the ball did not carry very far. Also, entire golf course was aerated so the greens were in bad shape.I three patted more than 10 times.

One of the best ways to improve security is to install a video camera. We just did this in our new data center area at our HQ. This system captures and records movements to a server.

I saw an eagle soaring in the sky today. I happen to carry a camera with 300mm zoom. This picture was taking with that lens.

As a operator of multiple data centers, we consume more electric power than most other companies. We are really concerned about that. So to reduce the CO2 emissions and be green, we are

(1) Using "Green Power" from Puget Sound Energy
(2) Reduce electric consumption by using the natural air to cool our servers
(3) Retire old servers in 3 to 5 year period.

It is not alway easy, but we are try our part. Also, we host 35,000 companies email servers using little over 400 servers. That is 98% reductions in server foot print.

Apple has decided to ship my order one piece at a time instead of consolidating everything into one shipment. Although the order was FREE SHIPPING, it is a waste of money. They could have given me a discount of $20 or $30 if I wait until everything is ready for shipment. I would have waited.

Most hard disk failure happens in the first 800 hours or first months? Once the hard disk survives this initial period, they basically last for years. I ordered an iPad. It will be great if I don't have t carry may laptop when I go on the business trip. I don't know if it can.

It costs more than a Windows laptop computer. Also, Google will be releasing something similar to iPad based on Android OS. And I am sure Microsoft will soon follow with Windows 7 mobile.
