Nagano Wedding Party

thread
Nagano Wedding Party

A week ago I attended the wedding party of an ex-workmate, Noriko, & her husband, David. It was held at a campsite in Nagano, and went on all afternoon and into the night. They booked all the cabins at the site, so everyone could stay the night in them (or tents). What a great idea!

The releasing of Thai-style floating lanterns at sunset was also a nice idea - looks nice doesn`t it?

As you can see, I took Owen with me, & we both had a good time.

Congratulations Noriko & David, & thanks for inviting me!

The floating lanterns were so amazing and fantastic!! Why did the lanterns float in the air, like a balloon? And the small bouquet was cute and lovely! It was nice for Owen.
Is it a great memory for Owen and you, isn't it?

The lanterns have a small fire at the bottom (like the one you can see under a small nabe pot in a restaurant). It creates hot air, which makes the lantern rise.

It was fun collecting wildflowers, but we couldn`t bring them home because the train journey takes 3 hours.
