Ise

thread
Ise
On Sunday we visited the town of Ise, beside the famous Ise Shrine. It`s a nice place - there are lots of traditional-style shops & buildings, as you can see*. There is also a shop that I really like which sells woodblock prints [hanga] and woodblock print style postcards [ehagaki]. Other shops sell various kinds of traditional food, souvenirs & goods.

Unfortunately, on Sundays there are also a lot of people & cars - it took a long time to park our car!

If I go to Ise again, I`ll try to go on a weekday (Monday to Friday).

Did you try 'Nigori-Ume' or 'Ise-Udon'?
I've never known 'Nigori-Ume'. I wonder what it is. Do you know it? And I tried 'Ise-Udon' that I bought it by the mail order.
So, did you pray in Ise Shrine?

I don`t know what Nigori-Ume is, but I tried Ise-Udon. It was okay, but nothing special...
We didn`t enter Ise Shrine this time - it was a little late & we didn`t have time.

Good for you!
Did you eat famous 'Akafuku'?
When I and my family go to Ise, we often eat 'Akafuku'.
Because my children really like it.
But you can buy Akafuku everywhere like at service area of highway.
