Handmade Shell Magnets

Handmade Shell Magnets

Before we went to Ishigaki Island I bought some magnets at the 100yen ($1) store. We glued them onto the back of shells which we collected on the beach. Then we painted them. We also stuck eyes on a couple (I bought them at the 100yen store too). I will use these magnets on the refrigerator at home & on my whiteboard at school. I hope they don`t break easily.

but then it was hard that I had to find shell which has small hole.
your idea is good for every shape of shell:)

In Australia last Christmas, we found shells with small holes & I made a necklace for my son. But he didn`t want to wear it. That`s okay - it`s a little dangerous for small kids to wear things around their necks, right? Also, he looked like a hippie kid. I don`t want my kid looking like a hippie.
