Email Censorship
I'm sure you're aware of the recent censorship issues with YouTube, Facebook, Twitter, and other media outlets. These issues include blocking or deleting users and their content. The most recent example of this is former President Trump who had his account suspended by Facebook and Twitter. I don't think this is acceptable in the U.S., a country that prides itself on freedom of speech. It is common sense that no matter how much you don't want to hear something, people have the right to say it. Of course, the listener has the right not to listen. However, does a company that provides the venue have the right to censor the person or the content?
What I want to talk about this time is not the censorship that takes place on sites like this one. What I want to talk about is the censorship and the non-delivery of email. Needless to say, there is a lot of spam being sent out in the world. That is why companies like us, who provide email systems, try to prevent as many spam emails as possible from reaching users. This is called spam filtering.
In the case of our email hosting service (https://dreamersi.com), spam filters are in place. Emails that are determined to be spam will automatically be moved to the spam quarantine environment. The emails placed in this quarantine location will not be deleted even if they are determined to be spam. Additionally, when emails are recovered from the spam folder, future emails from the sender will not be recognized as spam even if the spam score is high.
As with the web, I don't believe that the service provider has the right to evaluate and delete users, email distributors, or content - no matter what the content is. The right not to be heard is for the listener to decide, not for the service provider to decide.
The censorship of email by "Big Tech" is getting worse. When emails don't get delivered or can't be sent ... that's censorship. If you continue to have problems like this, please let us handle your email service.
