This is an email I received today ... I am sorry but I have no time read this. When you write an email, please get to the point quickly. And if you need to write this long wand want my attention for this long, you should call me. It a lot faster and more effective.
Here are some of the images from 2002 COMDEX in Las Vegas. There was no Smartphones back then. Tablets are new but there were no standard. No many technology products were made in China but was made in Taiwan.
Here are some numbers I learned at DELL WORLD 2012 this week about BIG DATA.
5 Exabyte of data were stored globally in 2002
1 Exabyte = 1 billion gigabytes
In 2010
Enterprises had more than 7 Exabyte of new data on disk drives
Consumers stored more than 6 Exabyte of new data on PCs and notebooks
But in the last few years, the amount of data we create and use every day has exploded
As of 2012, 2.5 Exabyte of data are created each day
In 2011 there were 780 million smartphones that generated more than 600 petabytes every month
Data generated by mobiles will reach 11 Exabyte per month by 2016
The information you see above is important to a storage provide like DELL but what is that mean to small business? No matter how much data you have about your customers, nothing beats you saying "Hello _____" when the customer walks in the door. Data storage can't do that.
Storing data is one thing. Sorting and grabbing the data you need are more essential to your business success. As small companies, we do not have IT budget like enterprises to do many things. But small businesses know customers more than enterprises do.
@PSPINC, we help you maintain that business edge by providing the right amount business tools without breaking the bank. PSPINC is a small business IT company for small businesses.
I receive too many emails, many are just plain sales email so I try to opt-out from many. One was from the restaurant. I signed up to this email to get discount at the restaurant in Las Vegas many years ago.
I just got too many from them since they have no location in Seattle. I click on "Unsubscribe" and this is what I got. Their unsubscribe is not working. Not cool. One of the things that we make sure when we built http://www.newsmail.com was the opt-in and opt-out feature. I will double check to make sure this does not happen to our system.
Look I am a PC. No, I am a Tablet.
Look closely, your screen is upside down.
According to DELL, companies all over the world is moving to Windows 8 because of its security capabilities. The fancy interface and faster boot up are not the reasons why people should move to Windows 8. Very interesting.
