No Travel Restrictions

No Travel Restrictions
The IATA issued a joint statement with the International Civil Aviation Organization on behalf of the International Atomic Energy Agency, International Maritime Organization, the World Health Organization and the World Meteorological Organization, on the continued safety of air transport operations in Japan. These organizations have assured us that there are no travel restrictions at Japan's major airports.

Malware Attack

thread
We are experiencing the Malware problem on one of our web servers. Malware is a short name for malicious software which resides in the server to rewrite many files to redirect unsuspected web visitors to virus sites.

We believe one of our customers were infected with virus and has pass that on to our hosting server. The malware didn't do anything until today. I do not know what triggered the malware. It is almost 1:00am and we ares still cleaning up.

This is not affecting any of our US clients.

Saving Energy

thread
Saving Energy
Take a look at those two photos. Both are taken from the hotel in Akasaka looking toward Shinjyuku. One on the top was taken in 2009 and the bottom is taken two week ago.

You can see it is much darker in 2011. This is not because of the rolling blackout, it is just people and companies saving electricity. The power generation in the eastern Japan is running about 60 to 70%, so the people need to conserve or face catastrophic power outage.

I walk by McDonald's and would not know because there in no sign being lighten up. Thing are much worse in northern area, needless to say.

Fukushima 50

thread
Fukushima 50
There is name given to people risking their lives to contain radiation at Fukushima Nuclear Power Plants. It is called FUKUSHIMA 50.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fukushima_50

There are actually 180 volunteers workers of TEPCO (Tokyo Electric) and the subcontractors working 24 hours a day. I trust them more than Japanese government or TEPCO managements or nuclear regulation agencies. I know FUKUSHIMA 50 are doing their best.

Good luck to FUKUSHIMA 50.

A T-Shirt Mide in the USA
It is amazing to find the T-Shirt made in the USA, but that is exactly what I got when I donated to Obama Campaign ... I wanted to know if the T-Shirt was made in the USA.

I guess for $25, you can make a T-Shirt here.
