「あまえび」　は学名が、ホッコクアカエビ（北国赤海老）と呼ばれ、

アマエビ（甘海老）、ナンバンエビ（南蛮海老）　とも称される。

名のとおり、身は甘く全身がピンク色から赤橙色をしている。

“ナンバンエビ”　という別名は、外見が赤く熟した唐辛子の実に似ることに由来する。

これは造りにして食べるのが美味！　特に頭にあるミソは美味しい。
