My kids said they wanted to catch some frogs, so I said okay. However, they caught too many, so I told them to release a few.
What do you think of frogs? I don`t mind them, but my colleague said she hates them. She said when she was young , she came home and there was a frog on the door, so she couldn`t open it, so she rang the doorbell until her mum came, and she told her mum to open the door. lol.

Do you know the dish 'Tom Yum Goong'? 'Goong' means 'shrimp' in Thai. However, I don`t like* shrimp, so when I lived in Thailand, I asked restaurant cooks to use 'gai' (chicken) instead of 'goong'. This is an unusual request in Thailand. However, I found this 'Tom Yum Gai' packet curry in the supermarket, so maybe a lot of people are like** me, and prefer chicken to shrimp.

Riding back from Tarumi, I stopped to look at a shrine, and I found this tiny glass bottle. It looks old (it has thick seams (継ぎ目), & the glass contains small bubbles). I think it`s for eye drops (目薬).

I caught a one-car train from Ogaki to a small town in the mountains called Tarumi, then rode my bicycle back from there. I stopped to have lunch by the Neo River, under a rail bridge. The train crossed it while I was there, so I was able to take a nice photo. There was a lot of nice scenery, so I often stopped riding and took photos. I want to go there again.

Last weekend I watched the original (1986) 'Top Gun' on TV with my kids. My first son really enjoyed it, so I might take him to see the new sequel, 'Top Gun: Maverick' at the cinema. I hear it`s good. I haven`t been to the cinema for ages*.
Although I enjoyed seeing Top Gun again, now I have the song, “Danger Zone” stuck in my head. lol

Australia finally qualified for the 2022 World Cup in Qatar by beating Peru this morning. Where is Qatar? Who knows? Anyway, I`m looking forward to November.

I found some more bottles. The ones at the back are milk (or drinking yoghurt?) bottles. The two at the front are maybe for cream or lotion. I learned that this kind of white glass is called 'milk glass'. I didn`t know that. On the left is some kind of ceramic insulator.

Did you watch the soccer last night? Japan lost 0-1 to Brazil. I`m disappointed (がっくり), but Brazil are strong, so I guess it`s not so bad. It could have been worse.

Look at this cool moth. I saw it on the station platform today. A station attendant watched me while I was taking a photo of it. He probably thought, “Strange foreigner...” Lol. I don`t mind.
