Marketing is an investment to sell
No matter how good a product is, it won’t sell if no one knows about it. In that case, how you spread the word is what we call marketing. In the past, marketing mostly consisted of paid advertising, which included traditional mediums like newspapers, magazines, TV, and radio. It has since shifted to more digital outlets thanks to the internet.
The first step in successfully marketing your business is to have your own website. Without one, there won’t be anywhere to lead customers who take an interest in your ad. Once you complete building out your website, you’ll need to think about you want your customers to do once they get to your website and how to get more people to come next. All of this is considered as marketing activities.
I don't think there’s any company, mine included, that doesn't struggle with this. I’d like to discuss marketing with all of you, including our successes and our failures as well. Equipped with numerous tools to handle all inquiries and meet diverse needs, we’re always ready to share our stories.
Thank you again for reading our newsletter today.

The Importance of Good Customer Service
Whether you’re selling or buying something, a little extra attention can completely change a customer's experience. When buying something, just hearing a simple response of "thank you" can make a customer happy. It also makes them feel good to see a smile when they get their change.
During my stay in the hospital, I met many nurses. Some get things done quickly, others leave you alone, and some don't even come when you call them. When I have a good nurse, I feel a little bit relieved even when I'm having a hard time.
The same concept applies when conducting business. It’s natural to just focus on accomplishing the task at hand, but how we interact with customers matters too. Just because you get the job done, it doesn’t mean you should avoid the customer. In fact, it’s vital to keep the customer up to date with the latest information. From the customer’s perspective, they can only assume that not contacting them equates to a lack of new updates.
At my company, we value communication with our customers. I’m still undergoing treatment and haven’t been able to return to work yet, but I’m confident that my staff is doing everything right. I will do my best to get back soon. I wish you all the best in your work as well.

How Governments Use Pegasus
Pegasus is spyware for smartphones developed by the Israeli NSO group and licensed to various organizations, including the FBI, for millions of dollars.
When it’s placed in a smartphone, it can not only read text messages, e-mails, photos, and location information, but it can also listen in on conversations and take pictures using the smartphone’s microphone and camera, respectively. All without the user’s knowledge.
Until now, the “bad guys”, as they’re commonly referred to, were the ones using these functions. Now, political groups and governments use it to spy on users. In Israel, there was an incident where they spied on former Israeli Prime Minister, Benjamin Netanyahu. With this case, a blackmailing case came to light with the information they found using this software.
Until now, these functions were used by what is commonly referred to as bad guys, but now this software is being used by political groups and governments to spy on users, and in Israel, there was an incident in which information obtained from this spyware was used to spy on former Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu. In Israel, a case of blackmailing involving Netanyahu with the information obtained from this spyware has come to light.
Cell phones are convenient devices, but we need to understand that they can be dangerous because of their excellent functions. You may think that there’s nothing to be afraid of if you’re not doing anything wrong. However, it’s still important to know that there’s always the possibility that you’re being monitored.

Update after my surgery
On February 25, 2022, as I mentioned, I underwent surgery at a hospital in Seattle to remove part of my liver and my gallbladder. It was a much bigger surgery than I had expected and took 5 hours to complete.
I thought I could take it easy and be back to work online in a week, but I guess I was naive. I ended up in the hospital for eight days and was discharged. However, the pain in my knee that occurred a few days after the surgery continued to get worse, and I ended up back in the hospital, this time by ambulance, on March 14th.
I also started dialysis while in the hospital because my kidney function had deteriorated during the liver surgery. Eventually, with the pain from the surgery, the dialysis, the knee pain, etc. it felt like everything suddenly fell apart for me, even though I was in good health before. Even now I am still writing this newsletter from my hospital bed.
But don't worry, everyone. This newsletter is not a complaint. Today is a little better than yesterday. I strive to be a little better and do the best I can. It is the same as the work I have been doing for the past 35 years. It's just that the subject is not the work but has become myself. I am happy to say that everyone in the company is doing great without me. It kind of makes me wonder if they could do without me for a bit longer...
This is a long report. I hope you are all taking good care of yourselves even during your busy work week.

How the Government Works in the United States
There was a man who taught me the rules of the United States. He said that America isn’t a country of majority rule. There are, instead, three separate branches of government in the U.S.: executive, legislative, and judicial. Ultimately, it means that illegal actions are illegal and oftentimes enforced. Even if it reflects what most people want.
The executive branch represents how the president manages the country. It gives the president power over implementing and enforcing laws initially written by Congress. The legislative branch is made up of politicians elected by the people who make up the senate and the House of Representatives. They are then in charge of creating and changing laws. The judicial branch refers to the federal courts, where the Supreme Court stands at its center. These three powers independently monitor each other and in turn, run the U.S. government.
For example, the president has the power to reject, or veto, any law created by Congress. When a conflict arises, the court listens to each party’s arguments and then decides how to proceed. In other words, everything about how the government manages the country is deliberated between these three different branches.
At the center of it all is the Constitution. If someone wants to make a change in the Constitution, all three branches must reach a consensus. Otherwise, that change won’t be made. Additionally, it’s important to note that many things are also decided by the state. But the federal government still oversees all policy changes of the U.S. government.
Therefore, even if the federal government tries to mandate vaccinations and the use of face masks to combat Covid-19, states still have the right to accept or reject that mandate. That is why it’s called the United States of America instead of just America.
As for the Japanese government, if they mandated vaccinations and the use of face masks, all prefectures (like states in Japan) must follow that rule. In the U.S., each state acts as if they too have their own executive, legislative, and judicial branch as if each were their own independent country. Therefore, the U.S. looks so disjointed from the outside.
I believe the true strength of the U.S. comes out when something causes these disparate parts of the country to work towards a shared goal.

This is what happens when you delegate to the right person
A while back, I found the story of how the company, Lamborghini, came to be on the internet and found it impressive. Lamborghini, for those of you who don’t know, is a luxury car company that makes engines. When they made their first car, which they called the Lamborghini Miura, they also completed the V12 engine. They exhibited their first car at a car show with the framework of a midship car with the engine placed sideways to accommodate the mighty engine.
After receiving an order for a car with only this frame, they rushed to form a development team. At the time, the company’s leader, Ferruccio Lamborghini, was uninterested in sports cars, so he left the team in charge of all things development. But Ferruccio Lamborghini stayed on as the company’s president. The development’s team leader was just 29 years old at the time but oversaw it all, nonetheless.
From his leadership, they created the LM002 Cheetah and Countach. Unlike Enzo Ferrari, the founder of Ferrari, their biggest competitor, Ferruccio Lamborghini grew his company very differently. And I for one am impressed with Ferrucio Lamborghini’s very hands-off approach
