We had one of our web servers go down this evening.
Although we have alternate server setup at our HQ location, our server administrators decided to spend time looking for the problem before switching the service to alternate servers. Because of this foolishness, the service were down for 90 minuets. If we switched the service, it could have been less than 30 minuets.
This is the type of mistake we canno0t afford to make. I really hope they learned their lesson. I am mad as hell for this mistake. They need not only understand this by their head, they need to know it by heart.
Tomorrow is the ninth anniversary of 9/11. I was in Japan at that time to attend one of the largest computer shows. We had a booth with other companies from Washington State.
We were actually stack there not knowing when we can fly back to the US. All the flights were canceled for a few days. The security was tight. When I got back to Seattle, there are military people with M16 on their shoulders.
That was the the day the air travel became very unfriendly. I wish we could get back to pre 9/11 era.

I took delivery of 2011 Honda Accord from Lynnwood Honda, Rick Fonceca personally delivered the car this morning. Because Lynnwood Honda is the member of Seattle Executives Association (so as Pacific Software Publishing, Inc.), I did not have negotiate to get great deal. Thank you, Rick.
Now my BMW 645 goes out of warranty next year, I need to start thinking about another car. I love car shopping.
Take a look at the image below and tell me which way she is turning.
If she is turning clock wise, you are right brain centric and vice versa. I saw her turning clockwise but after I found out I can see her turning another way, I can't see her turning clockwise anymore.
Tonight we were invited to UNION BANK's reception at Seattle Art Museum. There were more than 500 people attended this reception. UNION BANK is a subsidiary of Bank of Tokyo Mitsubishi. We had account with Bank of Tokyo Mitsubishi but they have closed the branch office in Seattle. So now we will be working with UNION BANK.
UNION BANK seems to be very committed to Pacific Northwest expansion. This was a very nice reception with good food and drink.
