快晴のレーニア山～！　8/20/2011　レーニア山に迫る

パラダイスから見上げるレーニア山は、目の前に迫るような迫力があります。

ズームアップしてみると氷河が青い空を映して、ブルーに見えます。

年間一万人近い登山家が頂上を目指すそうですが、25％ほどしか登頂に成功しないそうです。

お天気が良いと条件は良さそうですが、この日は気温が高く、氷が崩落する危険もあります。

やはり、人を簡単には寄せ付けない偉大な山なんですね。

この日は、それでもシアトル市内は、２８℃くらいでした。レーニアの麓でも２２・３℃あり、半袖で十分でしたが、虫がいっぱいいるので、トレイルでは長袖を着ていました。

この山の頂上に立つには本格的な装備と、
技術が必要ですね。

人を寄せ付けない美しさというのかなぁ・・・。

この日は、一日中良いお天気でしたが、ご存知のように山のお天気は変わりやすいので油断禁物なんですよね。
