Hello, I'm Josephine
Hello, my name is Josephine. I'm a new intern at JASSW.

I graduated from Whitman College with a degree in Asian Studies and a minor in Japanese, and studied abroad at Doshisha University in Kyoto, Japan. I recently returned to my hometown of Seattle, WA after spending the last three years teaching English in Tottori, Japan on the JET Programme.

I joined JASSW to help maintain my connection with Japan after living there for four years and to hopefully build new connections with the Japanese community here in western Washington. I am excited to use my experience abroad to foster and support the relationship between Washington State and my second home of Japan.

Nice to meet you!
Josephine

My name is Eriko Terasaka and I started working at JASSW as an intern on June 7th. I am from Japan, Chiba and I had studied Economics at Waseda University in Tokyo expected to graduate next year.

I recently finished my one-year studying abroad program at University of Washington. While the program, I assisted in tutoring two college students who were studying Japanese.

I decided to Join JASSW because I joined the Washoku event, which are held by JASSW and thought that expanding Japanese culture and deepening the relationship between Japan and America are interesting and important.

Hello, I'm Momoko!
Hello, my name is Momoko. I'm from Iwate prefecture in Japan.
I started the internship last Friday and I will be here at JASSW for a month until March 18.

I used to come visit Seattle often when I was studying in Montana last year, and I came back as an intern this time. I love Seattle so much because this city is beautiful and has many attractive places to see! Seafood is fantastic as well.

My goal of this internship is to learn networking skills, and to acquire skills needed at workplace in general. Also I find it fascinating to see how Japanese who live in the states orchestrate themselves in American work environment.

I look forward to connecting with you all!
Best regards,

Momoko

Hello, I'm Ken

thread
Hello, I'm Ken
